Individual Disability Advocacy Service (IDAS)
What is IDAS?
IDAS is an independent, free and confidential advocacy service providing individual and self advocacy for people with disabilities, their family members and carers.
What is a Disability?
IDAS uses a broad definition of disability which includes, but is not limited to:
- Physical conditions
- Emotional conditions
- Behavioural conditions
- Medical conditions
- Psychiatric conditions
- Neurological conditions
- Mental illness
Priority will be given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people from non-English speaking backgrounds.
How can IDAS help?
IDAS can offer:
- INFORMATION on your rights, your options and on available services and resources
- REFERRAL to an agency or service in your area
- ONE-TO-ONE SUPPORT to work with you to deal with problems
- TRAINING to show you how to deal with issues for yourself

Great Southern Regions being Albany, Bremer Bay, Broomehill, Cranbrook, Denmark, Gnowangerup, Jerramungup, Katanning, Kojonup, Mount Barker, Nyabing and Tambellup.
